Our Story

The company drive and ethos has come from the founder Rangi Nicholls, former officer of the New Zealand Special Air Services. In 1986, the motto ‘Who Dares Wins’ applied to his aim of daring to take on the next big challenge – to create a company that provided a range of special services to the Australian film industry.
The goal was quickly achieved.
Work in other sectors outside the film industry soon followed.
Who Dares is now valued for its record of solving many of the practical needs of working in a Sydney streetscape and is consulted and employed by a large range of government, event, commercial and film clients.
