Location Search & Management

Who Dares now provides location search and management services
Overview

Who Dares is now available to assist with location search and management for film, TV, music video and stills shoots. Through our long association with many companies working on locations for all types of filming, we've built up a comprehensive knowledge of filmable locations in Sydney, the Southern Highlands and the Hunter.

We don't provide a publicly searchable photo database since there are already several very good services the industry can access. Instead, we focus on scouting locations for clients looking for something new or unusual, and assisting with permissions and logistics. We can submit filming applications, maps and traffic plans to authorities, either independently or to assist a Location Manager.

Our specialty is public streetscapes, and we have a deep understanding of the creative needs of directors as well as the expertise to evaluate locations for their practical elements inclusive of safety and traffic control.

We use the latest Canon EOS 7D to deliver high quality images and video of selected locations to meet our customer’s brief. Our friendly team of experienced location people are available to scout location options and respond immediately to each customer’s specific needs.

Goalpost Pictures used Who Dares to find and secure filming permissions for several "fresh" new locations for a low-budget MTV pilot called The Sellers (winner of the Optus One80Project).

On very short notice we recently scouted and permissioned a backyard swimming pool on Sydney's northern peninsula for use in a Foxtel commercial.

Blue-Tongue Films called on us to search for a cliff-edge location for a stunt scene in their short film Bear, and to get special council approval to allow forestry plants to be brought in for set dressing.
